At 7 a.m., a police officer observed a vehicle traveling south on Pompton Avenue at a high rate of speed. The car was clocked at 87 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone, police said.
The 17-year-old, who was a probationary driver, was issued summonses for speeding, reckless driving and careless driving, police said
